I write about the technologies changing engineering, and about what the industry is not yet looking at.

I have supervised and coordinated construction projects for more than ten years: luxury hospitality developments such as Etéreo — Auberge Resorts Collection, in the Riviera Maya — Coca-Cola FEMSA industrial plants, and corporate developments and infrastructure. My work concentrates on the part of the cycle almost nobody claims: commissioning, handover, and technical site direction.

What I write here comes out of that practice. I began publishing about artificial intelligence applied to construction management in September 2023 — computer vision, augmented reality over BIM models, generative AI in architectural design — when in Mexico these were still conference conversations rather than tender requirements. The date on each article is visible for that reason: it is not metadata, it is part of the argument.

I also write about what lies beyond the construction site: evolution, genetics, cognitive biases, and where a technology that develops faster than it is collectively learned is heading. That line of thinking starts with Arthur Koestler and has not stopped since.
